Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Aussi-Nexus Group (ABN 76 947 108 181), operated by Dr. Manas Swain, handles information in connection with the Spectra Anomaly Log app ("Spectra", "the App"). We built Spectra to run almost entirely on your own device, and this policy reflects that.

1. Sensor data stays on your device

Spectra reads motion, orientation/compass, microphone, ambient light, and magnetometer data (where your device and browser expose them) to calculate live readings and baselines. This processing happens locally in your browser. Spectra does not transmit raw sensor streams, audio recordings, or continuous location data to our servers. No audio is recorded or stored — the microphone is used only to compute a live volume/frequency level in memory, moment to moment.

2. What we do collect

• Account and billing information — name, email address, and billing details, collected and processed by our payment provider to manage your subscription. We receive confirmation of payment status but not your full card number.
• Basic usage analytics — such as app version, device/browser type, and general feature usage — used to fix bugs and improve the App. This is aggregated and not linked to your sensor readings or logged events.
• Anomaly logs you choose to export or submit to us — for example, if you email us a log file for support purposes. Logs you export stay on your device unless you choose to send them to us.

3. Permissions the App requests

Your browser will prompt you to grant motion/orientation and microphone permissions. You can decline any individual permission; the affected sensor tile will simply show as unavailable, and the rest of the App continues to function. You can revoke permissions at any time through your browser or device settings.

4. How we use information

• To provide, maintain, and bill for the subscription service.
• To respond to support requests.
• To improve reliability and features, using aggregated, non-identifying usage data.
• To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use sensor data for advertising.

5. Storage and security

Sensor readings and calibration baselines exist only in your browser's memory during a session and are not persisted to our servers. Exported logs are saved as a file on your own device unless you choose to share them elsewhere. Account and billing records are stored with reasonable technical and organisational safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of that data.

6. Third parties

We use a third-party payment processor to handle subscription billing; their use of your information is governed by their own privacy policy. We may use standard hosting and analytics infrastructure providers who process data on our behalf under confidentiality obligations.

7. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you, or to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below. Australian users also have rights under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

8. Children

Spectra is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be flagged within the App.
